Taking Stock of Your Goals
I’m a bit mystified as to how it is the middle of June already. Summer is in full swing here and we have already had several days of the air conditioner going full blast. My daughter is delighting in playing in her kiddie pool in the backyard and my dog loves to lie about in a shady spot.
Being at almost the half way point of the year, I am reminded that this is a great time to take stock in your business. Review the goals that you set for yourself in January and see what kind of progress you are making.
Have you worked faster than expected and met almost all of your goals? If you have then you should sit down and decide if you want to accomplish even more before the end of the year. Perhaps you can expand your business even more or take the training course you have been putting off.
On the flip side, maybe you are not as far through your goal list as you had hoped. It may be time to rethink how much you are able to get done in the time that you have. It could also be a wakeup call that you need to become more efficient as well.
Another thing to think about is your satisfaction with what you are doing. Are you enjoying your business or the tasks that you are performing? If not it may be time to start looking for something new or to change how you go about things in order to make it something that you love. If you have found something that you love, what can you do in order to increase your enjoyment?
How is progress going on your goal list? Do you keep a goal list? I hope this serves as a reminder for you to take stock.
Warmly,
Mia
