Joined a Gym
One of my resolutions for this summer was to be able to wear some super cute and breezy tops and sun dresses. Maybe even get a bikini! Sadly dieting and exercise have taken a backseat to working and raising my super cute daughter. With summer here I decided that I needed a plan.
This week I joined a gym, a super awesome with all the bells and whistles gym. It has the workout area, classes, pools (both indoor and outdoor), childcare center, café, spa, and more. Did I mention the childcare center? With two hours a day included?
My husband works long hours and if it wasn’t for the help from my parents, I wouldn’t get much of a chance for me time. Most of my evenings are spent on a work project and my days are filled with spending time with my daughter and running my household.
So now I can spend a little time during the day working on myself. Plus my daughter and I can enjoy the pool together on these hot and lazy days. We went yesterday and she loved it. There is nothing quite like a toddler splashing around in pool. I haven’t left her in the childcare center yet, but I figure I will try leaving here there for short periods and see what she thinks.
What does this have to do with working from home? Well a number of things. Having a healthy body will give me more energy to get work done. I will also be doing something just for me and that is a great motivator for getting other things done. Plus they have free Wi-Fi, so I may be able to get a little bit of work done while my daughter is playing.
Are you a member of a gym? Do you actually use it? I’m hoping that I can be one of those people that actually use the gym rather just paying the membership fee each month and hope the pounds come off.
