Business Focus: Home Party Plan Candles
Earlier this week I posted a business idea for making your own candles at home. Candles are a popular item and multi-billion dollar business every year. Candle making isn’t for everyone though. And neither is starting a business completely from scratch.
There are a number of direct sales companies that sell candles. They can offer a concise plan to follow as well as upline leaders that can help coach you to success. They have also done the hard of work of manufacturing the candles. No mixing, pouring or hot wax in your kitchen is necessary.
Some of the most popular companies are Mia Bella Gourmet Candles, White Lily Candle Company, Diamond Creek Candles, and Gold Canyon Candles.
Most offer a low start up cost that gets you training materials and some products.
Many of the companies offer you the ability to sell the candles at home parties, craft shows and on the internet. You are sure to find a method that you are comfortable with and that you can be successful with.
The candles vary from paraffin wax, soy wax, and beeswax. Each type of wax has it strengths and weaknesses. You should research them all before deciding what company to go with. You may find that you enjoy the properties of one over the other. Do not be afraid to ask the company for samples or place an order before signing up. You want to make sure the scents are something that you enjoy and that they are something you will be willing to sell.
I also want to note that I am not endorsing any of the companies mentioned. I have ordered candles from several of the companies. It is up to you to take your time and research to see if the company is the right fit for you. Check their history and talk to several consultants before making a decision.
Are you with a direct sales candle company? What do you think of it? What is your favorite scent?
Warmly,
Mia
